Aloha. My first order of business once I got settled into my Hawaii condo was to drive around the entire island. What better way to get my bearings that a road trip?! Luckily, Oahu is small enough to do this within a day and have time to spare to stop and have a look around or catch some rays.
This solo adventure sparked a thought. I should probably create an absolute MUST HAVE list for a day trip like this. I was super thankful to be wearing a few staples that are not only practical but also cute enough to go to a beach side cafe at the end of the day.
I've listed below a round up of the items you should absolutely have in your closet. You'll be as thankful as I was on a day like this.
LE SPECS SUNNIES
My every day sunglasses right now. They are polarized, practical, well made, not too expensive and super trendy all at the same time!
Black one pieces are the BEST! Seriously, this came in handy since it can be worn similar to a body suit and also is practical since it is a swim suit. Total must have.
STYLISH ROUND TOWEL
I mean, who are you if you don't have the biggest trend of the beach season? Cute round towels are SO in right now. I've tagged some adorable tropical towels here.
You know that tee. The one you can't leave the house without. The one you can wear to bed or also wear as a cool-girl statement. Mine has a couple holes in it and is big enough to tie every now and then.
The best sandals I've ever owned. They survive the ocean, chlorine, and long walks with my dog. They have a soft foot bed and a built in arch which makes them easily wearable on any adventure. The leather look makes them stylish enough to wear them to dinner here on the island.
Simple fashion right here. Cozy but stylish. A loose fitting tie waist pant is perfect to pull on over a swimsuit.
And there you have it. A quick list of my favorite items right now. What are you favorite beach day items? What about your favorite beach bag? I'm still searching for the perfect straw beach bag!
