My summer afternoon adventure in Brooklyn when meeting up with an old friend. Of course, a hip hop inspired outfit was totally necessary.
We went out to a little place called Zombie Hut on Smith St. They are an indoor-outdoor Tiki inspired bar with killer island cocktails and fire shows from the bartender. I love a good hole in the wall and definitely recommend this one. I also recommend while you are in town to hit up the Brooklyn bagel & Coffee Company to cure any hangover you may have acquired hanging out at the Zombie Hut the night before.
Other attractions and must-sees in Brooklyn include the Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn Museum and nearby Coney Island. In the warmer months, a stroll on the mile-long Brooklyn Bridge or a hot dog at Cony Island is a perfect New Yorker style afternoon. If you make it to the Brooklyn Museum - the second largest Art Museum in the city - it is located right next to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, a 53 acre floral gem.
